WACOT has successfully renewed its Rainforest Alliance (RA) certification, thereby strengthening its sustainable cocoa certification programme. Rainforest Alliance is the world’s largest-scale initiative to drive more sustainable cocoa farming. This reflects WACOT’s continued commitment towards addressing core challenges in the cocoa sector: farmer livelihoods, child labour, and deforestation.
The business heads have commended the cocoa sustainability team for a job well done. The commitment towards achieving the RA certification is an important step in the journey to further strengthen our sustainability programme and strategies.
